KUALA LUMPUR: GD Properties has started construction of KL360 @ Menara GD, a RM1.37 billion gross development value (GDV) mixed-use project in the city’s central business district.
Located along Jalan Tun Razak next to the Raja Uda MRT station, KL360 marks the revival of a previously stalled project that had left buyers waiting for nearly a decade.
The project’s ground breaking by done Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming, who said the revival reflected ongoing government efforts to address abandoned housing developments and protect homebuyers’ interests.
The ministry said more than 1,500 housing projects involving over 176,000 residential units, with a combined GDV exceeding RM140 billion, have been revived or removed from abandoned status since 2023.
GD Properties group deputy chairman Datuk Wong Seng Tong said the company took on the role of a “white knight” to restart and deliver the project.
It is supported by strategic partners such as Bank Rakyat and China State Construction Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd.
The mixed-use development is expected to include residential and commercial components.
GD Properties expects that it will support surrounding economic activity through construction jobs, business opportunities and increased footfall in the area.
