A BUNGALOW in Damansara Heights, Bukit Damansara in Kuala Lumpur (KL), which sold for RM16 million, topped Malaysia’s 10 most expensive homes sold in 2019.

This is based on the review period between January and December 2019 and transaction data sourced from the Valuation and Property Services Department.

The data is compiled by iProperty. com.my‘s big data solution, iPropertyIQ. com. The properties are ranked in descending order and presented based on transaction price (RM).

According to iProperty.com.my, median per sq ft for bungalows at Damansara Heights is RM702. The enclave of Damansara Heights is one of the most affluent in the nation’s capital with its sprawling bungalows, villas and other luxury residences.

“Its immediate affluent neighbours are Bukit Kiara, Sri Hartamas and Bukit Tunku. Other than upper-class Malaysians, expatriates are flocking this area for its trendy nightlife and a selection of bars and restaurants,” it said in a statement yesterday.

The second most expensive home is a bungalow at Kenny Hills, Bukit Tunku in KL for RM12 million. The median per sq ft for bungalows at Bukit Tunku is RM677. Kenny Hills has been ranked No 2 for two years in a row.

Third is a serviced residence at St Regis, KL Sentral for RM9.5 million. Not known to many, St Regis’ first six floors are designated for an exclusive and luxurious six-star hotel, whereas seventh floor upwards is residential units.

Hartamas Heights at Dutamas, KL took fourth place at RM9.5 million. Hartamas Heights is an elite residential enclave consisting of 141 bungalow lots.

Coming in fifth is Sanctuary Ridge for RM9 million. Situated among lush greeneries and nature, Sanctuary Ridge houses low density and freehold luxury bungalows in an established neighbourhood situated at the KL side of Bukit Gasing.

A bungalow, Raja Mohar Scheme at Keramat in KL placed sixth at RM8.1 million and the Serai condominium at Bukit Bandaraya, Bangsar in KL placed seventh at RM7.45 million.

The One Menerung condominium in Bangsar came in eighth for RM7.45 million, while Pantai Hill at Pantai, KL, placed ninth for RM6 million and the tenth most expensive home sold in Malaysia is the Serene Heights terrace house in Semenyih, Selangor, for RM5.9 million.
