Bintai Kinden Corp Bhd plans to develop a 36-hectare industrial site near Kuala Lumpur International Airport with a gross development value of about RM700 million.

The company will develop the land in collaboration with Charter Built Sdn Bhd (CBSB), which specialises in civil and structural works, among other things.

Bintai has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Charter Built to develop the industrial land together, according to a stock exchange filing today.

Its deputy chief executive officer, Azri Azerai, said that the MoU is in line with the company’s strategy to diversify its business, rather than relying solely on its existing core mechanical and electrical engineering business.

Bintai, according to Azri, has 36 years of experience and expertise in undertaking and completing various construction of property development and related projects.

He said that the joint development with CBSB will expand the company’s project portfolio.
